MDASF invites you to a panel discussion on Thursday, September 12 at Pelican Marsh, featuring local industry professionals presenting: Club Industry Trends! Members and guests welcome to attend and learn more about what is trending in all areas of our clubs!

We encourage you to invite your GM's or other team members who might be interested in learning about the latest in club trends.

Plan to arrive early for networking and a delicious breakfast buffet followed by the panel discussion.

Please bring any questions you might have, this meeting will be interactive with time for Q&A!

CMAA/CLUB MANAGEMENT

Robert DiBiase, CCM, CAM: General Manager at Wildcat Run Golf & Country Club
Robert has been part of the team since 2016. He was the General Manager of Pelican Isle Yacht Club for 11 years. His leadership grew Pelican Isle Yacht Club's Membership and offered financial stability and a wonderful reputation. Prior club experience includes Crown Colony Golf Club in Ft Myers, and The Dunes Golf Club, Sanibel Island. He brings over 30 years of leadership experience with over 19 years focused in the Southwest Florida club industry. Robert is a native of Rhode Island and is a graduate of The University of Rhode Island. His professional work experience included leadership roles in the restaurant industry which eventually lead him to hotel industry for many years. He is an active member of The Club Managers of America where he holds the distinction of CCM (Certified Club Manager) as well as Florida Community Association Manager (CAM) license. Robert lives in Fort Myers with his wife Tracy and daughter Sydney.

Andrea Drake, PGA: Head Golf Professional at Vanderbilt Country Club
Andrea has been on the Vanderbilt staff since October of 2014. Previously, she spent 14 years at various clubs in the area including Quail West, Bonita Bay Club, and the Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club. Andrea has been in the golf business for 27 years, earning her Class-A PGA membership in 1994. Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Andrea is a graduate of the University of Alabama, where she played on the women's golf team. 

CSFA/FITNESS:

Tammy Mugavero, MS, LATC, CSCS: Director of Fitness at Bonita Bay Club
TPI Level 2 Medical and Level 2 Power Coach Certified Golf Fitness Professional K-Vest Certified

Tammy Mugavero is a Certified and Licensed Athletic Trainer and an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist who began her professional career in 1992 with Lee Memorial Health System. In August of 2000, she started with the Bonita Bay Club, bringing with her years of experience in rehabilitation and sport-specific programming.

Tammy graduated from Indiana University with a BS in Physical Education with an emphasis in Athletic Training in 1990 and continued on to the University of Arizona where she earned an MS degree in Exercise and Sport Science with a concentration in Athletic Training.

In 2008, Tammy was named one of the top ten trainers in SW Florida by Gulfshore Life Magazine and in 2017, she received an award from Passion Magazine for her work in Wellness.

USPTR, USPTA - COURT SPORTS:

Christie Pollin, USPTR, USPTA: Head Tennis Professional at The Club at Olde Cypress
With fifteen years of teaching experience and seven years of professional experience, Christie Pollin is currently the Head Tennis Professional at The Club at Olde Cypress. Originally from New Jersey, Christie attended The College of New Jersey and completed her degree in Psychology with a minor in Health and Exercise Science at Florida Gulf Coast University.

Proceeding her time at the Club at Olde Cypress, she was the Director of Tennis and Pickleball at Corkscrew Shores where she developed the racquet sports program (both tennis and Pickleball) and helped add four brand new courts to their existing two courts. Christie also led tennis and pickleball at Colonial Country Club where they converted two old tennis courts into eight active pickleball courts.

Christie is devoted to her personal tennis development with a U.S.T.A. Rating of 5.0 she has competed nationally in Platform Tennis where she was 3x Junior National Champion in NJ. She is also heavily involved in the SWFL Pro League, having been a team captain for two years and also a committee member.

ACF/CULINARY:

Tim Recher, CEC, CWX: Director of Clubhouse Operations at Quail West Golf & Country Club
Recently appointed Director of Clubhouse Operations at Quail West Golf & Country Club, Tim Recher is a Certified Executive Chef. Tim, formerly the Executive Chef and Assistant General Manager at the prestigious Army Navy Country Club, leading the culinary efforts at The Sun Room Restaurant, The Grille, multiple cafes, and banquets/catering. An award-wining chef, he has been recognized with many accolades and won a number of highly competitive tests of his exceptional talent and skills in the kitchen. During his tenure at the Army prestigious Army Navy Country Club, his culinary brigade has been recognized as a Platinum Club of America, ranked in the top 3 ½% of all clubs in the country, nominated for Platinum Club of the World, and received the ACF's Achievement of Excellence Award. Immediately preceding his entry into the private club world, he held the position of Executive Chef of the historic and iconic Madison Hotel in Washington, DC leading the culinary team through a multiple million-dollar renovation, launching two acclaimed restaurants, and cooking at the prestigious James Beard House in New York City.
